Nolan's idea of justice is shoot first, ask questions later. Too bad his gunslingin' style didn't sit too well after he shot a kid he feared was about to assassinate Mayor incumbent Amanda Rosewater. As it turns out, the poor Castithan was only planning a harmless paintball gun prank (set in motion by Amanda's mayoral competition Datak Taar). Not only was Nolan forced to resign, but he never got close to discovering that it was all part of Datak's evil plan.
